RECOMMENDATION: If you want your tent to be more water proof, wind proof and bug proof buy one floor size larger if you are purchasing an 8x10, 10x12, 12x14 or 14x16. The 2 foot extra width allows the floor to go up 1 foot on each side wall and 2 feet up the back wall . The oversized floor is even with the front canvas wall. I tie the four corner floor d-rings to my corner tent frame angles. I put a small pebble in the center back of the floor and tie a string around it. I then tie a rope around the pebble and attach the rope to the rear ridge angle. The oversized floor goes behind the frame legs. I sometimes hunt in very windy and wet conditions. The oversized floor system works great for me. Rich
If you are considering buying a vinyl floor from another company I would ask them what weight the floor is. The heavier the vinyl is the better. Most other companies offer 8-12 oz vinyl.
On some competitor lightweight vinyl floors if you step on a sharp twig or a sharp small rock it is very likely you would puncture the floor. The floor now is no longer waterproof.
Punctures are less likely with 18 oz vinyl. However, always clear your floor of all rocks and twigs before you set up camp regardless if you have lightweight or heavy vinyl.
Some companies offer a 3/4 floor. These floors do not keep out the water, bugs or rodents as well. NOT RECOMMENDED.
My floors are continuous with no cut out or zippered area. With a zipper area or cut out, water, bugs and mice can go under under the floor and be in your canvas tent.
If you have a stove in your canvas tent always have something fireproof under the stove.
We have roll up 3' x 4' fireproof mats if you need one.
Floor only has a shipping bag. Not a larger storage bag.
Due to material availability, color may be gray, tan, or green.
